This special program will be made up of a group of dancers who are selected by Heather Booysen, of Movement in Motion.  Dancers will have the opportunity to participate in 1 or 2 photo sessions each season with a variety of indoor and outdoor options.  With each of these sessions, the dancers will be guided through movement that compliments their dance talent and ability. As a dance teacher and former professional dancer, Heather has the ability to capture movement in a way that compliments the dancer creating it.   

Rules and Requirements

· Dancers must complete an application in order to be considered.  The application consists of a questionnaire, previous dance photos, and a short movement clip. 

· Dancers must display strong technique and technical training in order to be considered for the program.

· Dancers of any and all styles and training will be considered, but not all dancers will be selected.      

· Dancers may not be a representative or ambassador for any other photographers or videographers. You may shoot with other photographers, but you may not be a brand rep.

· From each session, the dancer will receive 10 digital images.  The dancer will be able to select their images after viewing the entire gallery, and the rest of the digital  images will be available for purchase.

· Before each session, the dancer and Heather will work together to create a collection of ideas and concepts for their shoot. Dancers will work with Heather to establish a variety of outfit choices from their own clothing and from Heather’s attire collection.

 · Throughout the season, there may be opportunities for special projects and bonus sessions.  From these, dancers will receive, free of charge,  select images with watermarks for sharing on social media.  The files will also be available for purchase, unwatermarked.  

 · Dancers & parents (if applicable) will be required to post images from their sessions at least twice a month on social media and include all proper social media tagging. 

· Dancers and parents (if a minor) will be required to sign an agreement for the season after reviewing it during an in person or zoom meeting with Heather Booysen.           

· This program is available to dancers from 7 years old through professional.  Younger dancers, ages 7-10.  will participate in sessions with other dancers in their age range, and receive extra guidance throughout. 

· On location and outdoor sessions can be held in Virginia, anywhere from Richmond, VA to Virginia Beach, VA. A list of options will be provided, and suggestions taken.  All in studio sessions will be held in Williamsburg, VA. 

· Each photography session will be 1-2 hours and often grouped together with other dancers.

· With every referral, dancers will receive credit for more digital files from their own session. 

· Dancers will receive a discount on non-ambassador related sessions throughout the year. 

· Dancers will be required to reapply annually.      

· The cost for the program is varies depending on your choice of 1 or 2 sessions, but ranges from $400- $650.

· Payment plans are available.

· Application deadline is January 31, 2025.  Selected dancers will be notified by February 8, 2025.   

· I will start the program off with a zoom photoshoot prep class.  We will go over what to expect from your session, how to prep, movement, and dancer safety.  This will be valuable information for dancers working with any photographer. 

· Dancers will be offered to participate in a master class during the season.  These additional learning opportunities include master classes with dance, mind, body, and health professionals. There is no extra cost for these classes, and they are not required.  They will take place both in person in Williamsburg and on Zoom.
